Harrington is best known as one of the inaugural investors on the popular TV show, “Shark Tank.” He learned about entrepreneurship at the age of 11 when he started working by his father’s side in the bar he owned.
Within a few years after he turned 18, he generated $1 million in revenue. He sold the business to one of his employees, then dove into a transformative part of his life.
Harrington’s next business was As Seen On TV and the infomercial business expanded around the world.
Harrington solidified his role as a leading investor and advisor during his two seasons on the hit TV show, “Shark Tank.” Many of his episodes have run over 50 times, and products he invested in generated more than $10 million in sales.

Along with humility, Mendler has learned that stronger leaders are great listeners and continuously add value. “The best leaders recognize that as successful as they are, they don’t have all the answers,” Mendler says. “They’re asking great questions, being inquisitive and taking a step back – listening – and it all goes from there.”
Mendler has learned that we all face setbacks every day that can help us learn and grow stronger. It is hard to live with regret. We should take the time to reflect on those moments and learn from those mistakes. Reflection is a key in leadership.

Build Mindset to Succeed Through Adversity
When the world shut down due to COVID-19 in March 2020, Robert Forrester, CEO of Vertu Motors plc, had to close number of its stores and furlough 5500 employees. Immediately, his leadership team went to work and rolled out . A strategy that reflects Forrester’s leadership style: 1) Communicate with every employee frequently, clearly, and directly; 2) Be decisive, and 3) Explain what you’re doing, why you’re doing and how your decision impacts the team and the company. Forrester brought the furloughed employees back quickly and now, two years later, Vertu is back to normal with a packed office again .
